Guardianship

Sometimes parents, grandparents, or loved ones need assistance taking care of themselves or their financial affairs.

This may be due to old age, illness, mental health issues, drug or alcohol abuse or other causes. When this occurs, having a Guardian appointed for the person may be appropriate.

There also times where parents need some level of assistance caring for their children. When this occurs, having another adult appointed as a child’s Guardian may be appropriate.

Michael Silverman has assisted clients with all types of Guardianship matters for almost two decades. Filing the right paperwork, and creating open lines of communication is key in making sure this process proceeds as smoothly as possible.

Michael Silverman’s experience handling Guardianship often provides a great deal of comfort during a time that can be emotionally charged and confusing.
